Complete focus sessions. Earn water. Use it to grow a watercolour garden that is unique to you.
Independent, ad-free, and made for iOS and Android.

How Kinyava works
Choose how long you want to focus. Put your phone down when you are ready.
Completed focus sessions can earn water and help your plants grow. Use water to buy new seeds for your garden.
Choose each plant, colour, and position to create a garden that is unique to you.
A garden over time
Your garden records the time you chose to focus. You decide which seeds to buy, where to plant them, and how your garden takes shape.

Ready in one screen
Choose your focus time, then add a goal or category if you want to. Each category has its own colour, so it stays easy to recognise across Kinyava. Everything you need to begin is on one screen.
Focus together
Schedule a solo session for yourself, or create a joint session for up to six friends. When the time comes, meet in Kinyava to focus together, with each person earning rewards for their own garden.

Set a direction
Set a goal for something you want to spend time on, choose your target and due date, then work towards it across your focus sessions. Kinyava shows how each completed session contributes to your progress.

Your daily statistics
Open your daily statistics with one tap to see how long you focused and how that time was divided across categories. Kinyava Pro adds weekly, monthly, and yearly summaries, including completed goals and garden additions.
Kinyava is made by two independent developers. We believe it should be genuinely useful for all users, with its core focus and garden features available without a Pro subscription.
There are no ads, and you do not need an account or email address to begin. Kinyava Pro adds more variety through exclusive plants and colours, while supporting continued development and helping keep the app ad-free for everyone.
We hope Kinyava helps you focus and enjoy growing your garden.
Beta testing
We would love your help shaping Kinyava before launch. Apply to test on iOS or Android, use the app in your own way, and tell us what feels helpful or what still needs work.
Your application is recorded. We will be in touch.
No spam. We will only send beta and launch updates.

Kinyava ("we," "us," or "our") is a focus and garden-building mobile application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
By using Kinyava, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
When you create an account, we collect your email address (if you choose to sign up rather than use the app anonymously) and a user identifier. You may also provide a display name if you enable social features.
If you apply to beta test through this website, we collect your email address and chosen platform. We store this information securely and use it only to contact you about beta testing and the launch of Kinyava. You can ask us to remove you from the beta list at any time by contacting loading....
We store your garden state (plant positions, growth stages, colour variants, and notes), water and nectar balances, focus session history (duration, category, and timestamps), goal progress, and section unlock status. This data is essential to providing the core app experience and syncing your garden across devices.
If you enable social features, we store your friend connections, friend codes, and joint session participation data. Social features are opt-in and default to off.
If you allow notifications, we store the push notification token assigned to your device so that Kinyava can send friend request and scheduled session notifications. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
We may receive basic device information such as operating system version and device model through the native crash reporting mechanisms provided by Apple (App Store crash reports) and Google (Android vitals). This data is collected and anonymised by Apple and Google respectively, and is delivered to us in aggregate form. We do not use any additional third-party crash reporting SDKs.
Subscription payments are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status (e.g. active, expired) but never see or store your credit card number, billing address, or other payment details. Subscription management is handled through RevenueCat, which processes anonymised transaction data in accordance with their privacy policy.
On iOS, Deep Focus optionally uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity) to block distracting apps during focus sessions. This feature requires your explicit permission and can be disabled at any time. All app blocking is managed on your device. Kinyava cannot see which apps you use, how long you use them, or any other usage data. If you are a Pro subscriber and choose specific apps to allow during focus, that selection is stored locally on your device as an opaque token provided by Apple. No Screen Time data is transmitted to Kinyava's servers or any third party.
On Android, Deep Focus requires Usage Access to detect which app is currently in the foreground, permission to display over other apps so Kinyava can show a blocking screen, and an exemption from battery optimisation so Deep Focus can remain active during a session. It runs as a foreground service with a persistent notification while active. If you choose apps to allow during focus, the selected app list and Deep Focus settings are stored locally on your device. App usage information and your selected app list are not sent to Kinyava's servers or any third party. Deep Focus is optional, and you can remove these permissions at any time in Android settings.
We do not collect your phone contacts, location data, browsing history outside the app, personal identifiers beyond your email address and a device notification token, or any data for advertising or tracking purposes. Kinyava does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics that track you across apps.
We use the information we collect to provide and maintain the Kinyava app experience, sync your garden and progress across devices, process focus sessions and calculate rewards, send notifications you have chosen to receive, contact beta applicants about testing and launch updates, manage your subscription status, diagnose and fix bugs or crashes, and improve app performance and stability. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or cross-service tracking.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party advertisers. Your data may be processed by the following service providers, solely for the purpose of operating the app:
We implement reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security policies on our database, and secure authentication flows. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your garden data, session history, and account information are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Beta sign-up information is kept until you ask us to remove it or it is no longer needed for beta and launch updates. Anonymised crash reports provided by Apple and Google may be retained by those platforms in accordance with their own data retention policies.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at loading.... You can delete your account directly within the app via Settings → Delete Account. You can also request deletion via our Support & Account Deletion page. You can use Kinyava anonymously without providing an email address. Social features are opt-in and can be disabled at any time.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under these ages. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable age threshold, we will delete that information promptly. Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, including where our service providers (Supabase, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, Expo, Apple, and Google) maintain their infrastructure. We ensure that any such transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at loading....
